Keep SKAspot.com Online – Become a Sponsor

SKAspot.com is a ska-centered social network that uses the Ning platform. With 3000 registered members, content on the website is created and curated by ska fans, bands and promoters and is the largest ska music specific social network on the web.  Unfortunately, keeping this site up and running for free for its users costs money and to support such a large network, SKAspot.com currently uses Ning’s “Plus” plan. In July, we’ll need to pay the bills again and we’re looking for sponsors to help out! This year SKAspot.com is offering different levels of sponsorship and even an opportunity to be added as an honorary co-admin of the website (with a couple of restrictions).  In addition to the Bronze through Platinum levels, I’ve added one more higher level (Mega Platinum) for a sponsor who helps SKAspot by enabling us to purchase a Ning Pro Level Account, which would allow us several added features including video/music uploads. I hope that you will consider helping out!

WHO can be a sponsor? Anyone with a passion for ska music: Fans, Podcasters, Record Stores, Record Labels, Bands, ska associated retailers or venues, promoters, etc. Some of our past sponsors include Stomp! Records, 23 Minutes of Ska Podcast, SKAspot Records/Rude City Riot, and DC Sound System Podcast.

WHAT do sponsors get in return? Your name in lights! Exposure to an international ska passionate audience! Sponsors get their banner ads placed on the website for a full year along with links in a special “Sponsors” tab to be added. If a sponsor contributes on the “Gold” or “Platinum” levels, they will also be made “honorary admins” and will be listed as such along with photos of their choice. Other perks include occasional blasts via email update/Twitter/ other social networks (FB, Google+)  that include things like “SKAspot is brought to you thanks to our Platimum sponsor…”

WHEN will my sponsorship begin and end? If your contribution is received before July 15^th, a full year starting on that date otherwise a full year starting on the date your contribution is received.

WHERE are banner ads placed? Depending on your contribution level, horizontal ads on the front page in a prominent position on the layout (top or middle center section), horizontal ads that appear on every page in the footer,  vertical ads on the right side bar that appears on every page of the site, or vertical ads that appear on only the front page.

WHY should I sponsor SKAspot.com? Because you would like to keep ska alive by helping the world’s largest and continually growing ska-centered social network stay online and, in the process, support the global ska scene! So you can get advertised on a website that is viewed by thousands of people who are passionate about ska!

The Plans

PLATINUM* –  For a contribution of $250 for the full year or $25 per month, Platinum sponsors get:
- A horizontal ad double the standard size (468X120 animated or static) on the top and center  of the front page of the website.
- A vertical ad (120X240 animated or static) on the right “Side Bar” that appears on every page of the website.
- Their SKAspot profile listed as an “Honorary Admin” of the site with a photo of your choice. As a featured member, the profile page is an excellent way to advertise through creating/curating content.
- Listing in the sponsors tab.
- Inclusion in occasional blasts via email, Twitter, FB, Google+, etc. in a message saying “SKAspot.com is brought to you thanks to our Platinum Sponsor…”

*If a Sponsor contributes at the “MEGA PLATINUM” level, the vertical ad will appear just below the “MEGA PLATINUM” sponsor’s ad.

GOLD –  For a contribution of $200 for the full year or $20 per month, Gold sponsors get:
- A horizontal ad (468X60 animated or static) on the middle and center  of the front page of the website, above the Blogs section.
 - A vertical ad (120X240 animated or static) on the right “Side Bar” that appears on every page of the website just underneath the Platinum Sponsor’s Ad.
- Their SKAspot profile listed as an “Honorary Admin” of the site with a photo of your choice. As a featured member, the profile page is an excellent way to advertise through creating/curating content.
- Listing in the sponsor’s tab.
- Inclusion in occasional blasts via email, Twitter, FB, Google+, etc. in a message saying “SKAspot.com is brought to you thanks to our Gold Sponsor…”

SILVER–  For a contribution of $150 for the full year or $15 per month, Silver sponsors get:
- A horizontal ad (468X60 animated or static) on the footer of at the bottom and center  of every page of the website
 - A vertical ad (120X240 animated or static) in the middle on the right “Side Bar” that on the front page of the website.
- Listing in the sponsor’s tab.

BRONZE–  For a contribution of $100 for the full year or $10 per month, Bronze sponsors get:
- A horizontal ad (468X60 animated or static) on the middle and center  of the front page of the website, between the Blogs section and the Events section.
- Listing in the sponsor’s tab.

SUPPORTER- For a contribution of $50 for the full year or $5 per month, Supporters get:
-A vertical ad (120X240 animated or static) at the bottom right corner of the front page on the “Side Bar”
- Listing in the sponsor’s tab.

MEGA PLATINUM **- If you help flip the bill for SKAspot.com to have a “PRO Account” at a contribution of $400 dollars for a full year or $40 a month, you will get:
- Your logo on a SKAspot.com splash page underneath SKAspot’s logo saying “brought to you by…”
- Your logo on the SKAspot.com header image underneath SKAspot’s logo saying “brought to you by…”
- A horizontal ad double the standard size (468X120 animated or static) on the top and center of every page of the website, the first thing viewed after the site’s header.
- A vertical ad (120X240 animated or static) on the top of the right “Side Bar” that appears on every page of the website.
- Their SKAspot profile listed as an “Honorary Admin” of the site with a photo of your choice. As a featured member, the profile page is an excellent way to advertise through creating/curating content.
- Listing in the sponsors tab.
- Inclusion in occasional blasts via email, Twitter, FB, Google+, etc. in a message saying “SKAspot.com is brought to you thanks to our Mega Platinum Sponsor…”

**Mega Platinum Sponsors would enable SKAspot to get the following additions:
- Unlimited Members (We currently can have up to 10,000 registered members)
- 20 Gigs of storage (Currently 10 Gigs)
- Video uploads with branded players – Branded players are embeddable so users can post them on other websites, networks, etc. and can allow SKAspot branded content to go viral.
- Music uploads with branded players - Branded players are embeddable so users can post them on other websites, networks, etc. and can allow SKAspot branded content to go viral.
- A Splash Page (That will include your logo)
- A Language filter that will help us better combat spam
