What's Up

Hey everyone, I'm El Llama, more commonly known as Jake, so call me what you want :D. I like ska, but I'm not an expert, so please be nice to the newbie. I am hoping to expand my "ska ear", so to speak, and discover bands I haven't listened to before. I play the guitar, the saxophone, and clarinet. Until later, see ya!!

Jake, El Llama, whatever....

Never one to shy away from controversy...

I wasn't crazy about the new "Ska Is Dead" compilation from Asian Man Records, only liking 11 out of 23 tracks. My main gripe is that I thought that the bands selected were too punk-ish. But having only paid $6.99, it's not like I didn't get my money's worth. So, if you see it at your local retailer, feel free to "pick it up".

This episode of World Ska Radio is intended to show how other bands…

Hello everyone... Tiz I Big Mikey

Thanks for this place, just discovered, now back on track as THE most popular Jamaican Music show on Podomatic!!

I play everything from Mento to recent release, particularly into, Rocksteady, Ska, Early Reggae, and then vocal groups of those eras. BUT you'll find everything there with a leaning towards the vintage.

Pop along for a listen, drop me a line, tell me what you really think et cet et cet..

Nice nice.....

The Show the other night was incredible!

Triple A kicked it off with a fairly decent opening set, nothing really to rave about but it got the crowd pumped for Streetlight.

STREETLIGHT put on an amazing they normally do, and got the crowd skanking in no time! The guys are awesome and I'll love their music!

Then came Reel Big Fish!and if you haven't seen these guys play you really have…
