Punk: Black Flag, Minor Threat, Exploited, Operation Ivy

About Me:
Bottom line is: I like ska and reggae. A LOT.
For me, ska and reggae wasn't something I grew up with or anything. It's more like something I've fallen head over heals in love with relatively recently (over the past half a year or so).
Truth is, I used to be more into punk than anything else, but the more I learned about punk the more I learned I learned about skinhead culture. The more I learned about the truth about skinheads, the more I learned about ska, and the more I listened to ska the more I got hooked. The result? I've become a Ska Addict.
I'm still trying to find a scene/subculture that's right for me, but I think I'm going to go for being Rude Boy. There's really not much of a scene in Santa Barbara anymore, but I've been trying to make up for lost time by reading stuff about the history of ska in it's multiple waves, teaching myself how to skank, and am trying to get my hands on 2-tone and Rude Boy/Mod associated gear.
Again, I'm a little new to this, so if you feel like filling me in, or if you just wanna talk about music, hit me up.
Also, if there are any shows in the Santa Barbara area be sure to let me know.
Stay Rude.
