Favorite Bands / Influences:: Influenced by many of Reggae musics earliest, most favorite and gifted originators such as The Wailers and The Pioneers; innovators such as the Barret brothers, Jackie Mito and Lee 'Scatch' Perry (to name a small handful). Hoodlum Pharaohs from Los Angeles, perform their own raw yet contemporary, broad and unique hypnotic Style of classic Reggae melodies. Their debut album entitled "Who's making your life like that?" (appropriately named for it's recounting of urban misfortunes) weaves these well known influences into powerfully moody traditional Reggae rhythm’s that won't let your stereo system sleep. Thier album combines good ol' soulful Rockysteady and hip Blue Beat (Ska) era stylings blended with crafty textures of Dub, perfect for feeding your ears, hearts and daily highs.
