Where is the best place for some ska?
Looking forward to a visit to Philly, DC and NY (16th July-30th July) but do not know where to go and see some live SKA! Any help would be great but also thought it would be fun to ask - what venue is the best?
I don't mind original - revival or 3rd wave its all good to me.

The Snails, Philadelphia, PA http://www.facebook.com/#!/thesnailspa2 Great band that plays ska, reggae, and rocksteady and roll as they like to call their sound.
Also in Philly, check out the Ska Crazy Podcast here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/crazy4ska, tons of ska music
In D.C. check out http://www.bluebeatdc.com/ for monthly shows. If you will be in D.C. July 19th my band The Steakouts will be playing one of their shows at Solly's U Street Tavern at 9pm. Also a great ska/punk band out of D.C. is Kill Lincoln,
http://www.facebook.com/#!/KillLincolnDC.
My band is The Steakouts from Rochester/Buffalo, NY, though will be on tour July 18-29 all down the East Coast. You can follow dates and get some music at www.facebook.com/thesteakouts.
There are a ton of great bands in NYC as well, and you can check them out here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/ska.nyc
Enjoy!
