Last night I went to a streetlight show at the webster in the projects of south end in Hartford, Ct. It is sad how there was only 3 ska bands including streetlight playing at that show. Streetlight was amazing as ussual. Johnny 9 and the Racers were jamin it up in the undergound, they had an awsome set. The Brunt of It was a skacore band from rode island that i didnt really give them the respect they diserved untill i saw them, they also had a kick as set in the underground. the worst part of the show was the bands opening on the main stage that are on tour with streetlight suck. they are good musicians its just that they didnt fit in .Broadway Calls was this alternative pop punk emo band just doesint fit with a ska show and then Outernational was just this werid band not fit for a ska show at all. Although it is sad that this is what the ska scene is ruduced to in Ct, but there is still hope and believers and true lovers of ska at that show. If you went to that show or have any different opinoins post them up !
There is going to be a Flaming tsunamis show in straford, ct in the 11th and a good show in hamden ct, at the space. Johnny 9 and the racers, the duppies, the alistionians, tip the van, and Live now, its going to be a kick as ska show!
