So does anybody know what's headed our way this year? Last year this time I knew a list about 6 albums long, but this year I've got nothing... So which bands have been talking about / recording a new album this year?

Streetlight's got a 2-disc coming out, I think.
99 Songs? That's like 8 discs from what I've heard.
oh yeah, 99 songs of revolution...that's between a couple different bands, but Streetlight is who put it together...it's basically going to be 99 cover songs from 8 different bands that are close friends of Streetlight from what I've heard...I also just remembered The Slackers are recording a new album to put out on Hellcat/Epitath...but that's it from what I've heard...

I think the new Aquabats is FINALLY going to come out this year! I don't know if it's temporary or not, but Chainsaw and Catboy are back on guitar and trumpet!
Hepcat has announced a new album this year, which should easily trump just about anything released by any band in the next 12 months.

Not permanently. They only showed up for a few shows at the end of the year; they may play live again, but they won't be recording with the band.
Word on the street is that the 'Bats might be signed to Hellcat. I'm totally looking forward to it...'Charge!!' was their masterpiece. "Share", the song they did for 'Yo Gabba Gabba!', had me totally psyched, in a sort of "indie synth-pop" type of vibe.
Yeah, I figured it was sadly only live stuff. I totally agree with you though. Charge is where it's at. It would be nice to a blending of the new style in old in the same songs. Kind of like what a they did a little on Charge! Anything they do though will make me happy though.

The Slackers "have completed their new album, the great rocksteady swindle, which is due out on 4/20/10 on hellcat records"
Hell yeah!
They have been putting out a lot of stuff lately, it's awesome! Gonna see them this Sunday (I just hope I can find a ride), I'm so excited!
