Bad Manners are currently wrapping up a tour alongside The English Beat and Chris Murray, but they've just recently announced a few select headlining shows in California. If you've never seen Bad Manners and you even remotely consider yourself a fan of ska music, you'd be doing yourself an epic favor by seeing them live:

Sep 5 - House of Blues Sunset Strip, Los Angeles
Sep 6 - Soundwave, San Diego (21+)

And the remaining dates with the English Beat:

Aug 20 - Providence, RI - Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel
Aug 21 - New York City, NY - Webster Hall
Aug 22 - Washington, D.C. - 9:30 Club
Aug 24 - Carrboro, NC - Cat's Cradle
Aug 25 - Atlanta, GA - Variety Playhouse
Aug 30 - New Orleans, LA - One Eyed Jacks
Aug 31 - San Antonio, TX - White Rabbit
Sep 1 - Dallas, TX - Granada Theater
Sep 2 - Austin, TX - Emo's

What? No Seattle? Shoot! We were hoping to open for 'em, too!
Caught the Sunday show in DC. This tour is really worth checking out. The backing bands for Bad Manners and The Beat are top notch this time around. Added bonus: Chris comes out before each set and does a few songs. As always, he takes requests.

Tune into Indie's Wino Weds (every weds 11am-12noon/PT) and the Indie 103 Movie Show (Thursdays 12noon-1:30pm) to win tickets to this gig. We will be giving away tickets during those two broadcasts. Listen to win.
I missed - or rather, am missing right now - the Los Angeles show, being incredibly tired and sick from another ska-ish concert I attended in Los Angeles last night. Though seeing Bad Manners only once in a year is a major bummer (good live ska is like heroin, and it's incredibly hard to fall off the 2-Tone pony for even a brief second without experiencing violent withdrawal), I was tickled pink to learn of yet ANOTHER So Cal show!

September 7 - Bad Manners w/ The Bohunks @ Angelo's, Pomona (flyer)

Unlike the San Diego show, it looks to be all ages. No further US dates, it seems. Why is it so hard to find their tour dates? Why doesn't their website list them? I always have to stumble upon message board posts and ticket retailer websites to find out where they're playing next.
