Punk rock raged through England in the late 1970s, influencing many musicians to pick up instruments and form a band regardless of musical ability. The Specials were a Coventry-based group who formed during this heady period, but took most of their cues from ska, as well as punk and new wave influences. TOO MUCH, TOO YOUNG features live footage from the band, recorded in two New York City clubs during a stateside jaunt in 1980. Among the songs are classic Specials tracks such as "A Message to You, Rudy," "Rat Race," and "Ghost Town."

This is a great DVD! I caught the Specials live in 1981 in Oakville, Ontario when they played the Police Picnic which was a open air festival which ended with the Police headlining. I have seen a lot of bands in the last 29 years and let me tell you the Specials are in the top 10!!! They don`t make bands like this anymore and the late 70`s and early 80`s was a great time for music. I hope the `kids`can come away from watching this DVD and realize the impact this band had at the time and still have to this day cheers to the Specials!

The Villains original drummer, John Jacobs, was a better drummer than John Bradbury of the Specials.
