January's SKAspot Band of the Month is Vancouver's legendary 2nd wave band Skaboom! Formed in 1986, Skaboom consistently played sold out shows and eventually released a self-titled album which received radio airplay throughout Canada and in the U.S. Skaboom disbanded after six year but reunited a decade later with a new drummer. Since then, Skaboom has released an album featuring the music from their first recording as well as their new material.
